3x Brighter Colors, and reliable performance — 3LCD, 3-chip technology
One measurement of brightness is not enough — look for both high color brightness and high white brightness. The EX5210 has:
Color Brightness: 2800 lumens (color light output)
White Brightness: 2800 lumens (white light output)

Epson offers a wide range of high-quality projectors to meet almost any need. Built with image quality and reliability in mind, Epson projectors enhance communication and inspire collaboration, while offering a low total cost of ownership. From ultraportable projectors designed for educational settings to boardroom-ready business projectors, Epson has a model that’s perfect for you.

Easy horizontal image correction with the new easy-slide control

Epson’s horizontal and vertical image (keystone) correction means you can project a rectangular image from almost any angle. The EX5210 automatically corrects the image vertically. And for horizontal image correction, just move the easy-slide control bar to make the necessary adjustments. Your EX5210 can be off to the side and above or below the screen, while your presentation is front and center.

Advanced USB Plug ‘n Play instant setup from your PC or Mac

Epson’s advanced USB connectivity enables instant Plug ‘n Play setup for both audio and video. Forget about complicated computer key sequences and non-intuitive controls. Instead, just plug in a standard USB cable and let your presentation impress the audience.

3x Brighter Colors with Epson

Brilliant image quality requires high color brightness (color light output), and Epson 3LCD projectors have 3x Brighter Colors than leading competitive projectors.

One brightness measurement (lumens) is not enough. A projector‘s specification needs to show both high color brightness and high white brightness. If color brightness is lower than white brightness, images may be dark, dull and lose detail. If not provided, be sure to ask for a projector’s color brightness specification.

Get consistent, true-to-life color with Epson, whether you’re projecting images with deep, dark colors or a white screen with text.

Ready for action in the office, at home, or on the go, Epson EX projectors offer vibrant, true-to-life color for stunning presentations and exciting entertainment. Get instant setup with one-step USB Plug ‘n Play capabilities and innovative image alignment features. Maximize your presentation time and minimize your costs with an energy-efficient E-TORL lamp. When you’re ready for a powerful projector experience, the EX series will be ready for you.

Epson EX5210 MultiMedia Projector

It is probably overstating that I am in love but this is one sweet projector. I pulled it out of the box, read the quick start guide and in a matter of minutes had my laptop screen up to big screen size! Not only that but within that initial 15 minutes I had YouTube videos running on my wall, in a very well light (sunlight bright) room. Within the first 30 minutes I was running Ice Age and feeling pretty darn chipper about the ease of use of this very portable projector.

I'm retired so I don't need this for business. I will use it for presentations now and again but I am more excited about using it as a big screen TV on the occasional shore trip where there are just little tube type TVs. I'm also looking forward to running an outside film fest for the grandkids on the side of the house.

The sound is adequate on the projector but you probably will want to put something beefier on the source to give you better sound. The on screen menu and source selection was self evident and easy to use. Focus and orientation were also a piece of cake. Is it clear I really liked this little fellow? Admittedly I haven't played with one lately but his puppy beats the bejabbers out of the ones I have used previously. Clarity is amazing on a flat white wall, I have to assume a screen would be even better.

It comes with a nice padded case. My only suggestion would be to have another pocket on the case for the cables. It came with VGA and USB, I added to it an SVHS and component, with the power cable you have a bunch of wire, an extra pocket on the case would be handy. If you are actually traveling with this, I'm sure you have a spare pocket on your laptop case for the projector cables.

To summarize, this was extremely easy to setup and get working in a astoundingly short time. I am really going to enjoy using it.

I at first connected my cable box to the EX5210 projector via the S-video connection and was a little concerned since the projected picture was not quite as good as from the same S-video connection on my 6 year old ViewSonic LCD projector. I then connected the EX5210 to my cable box via an HDMI cable. WOW, the projected image was now as crisp, clear, and bright as most flat screen TV's that I have seen in stores. Even though the EX5210 is not a true HD projector, I can't imagine a better picture than this projector produces on my white pull down movie screen. I find the picture to be excellent with the projector in "Eco" mode which extends the life of the bulb. The speaker of this projector is much better than my previous projector but I have chosen to run the sound through my surround system.

My projector is used primarily for watching college and professional level sports and it makes the viewer feel as though though they are at the sporting event. I would highly recommend this projector for such cable TV viewing but only if you are able to connect via the HDMI input. I also connected my laptop to the EX5210 and found the projected computer image to be excellent as well.

My husband spent months trying to convince me that we needed a home theatre in our basement. I spent months trying to convince him that in order to get theatre quality, we would need to spend thousands. I WAS WRONG!! After reading the reviews of many projectors, we settled on the Epson EX5210 Projector.

It was within our budget and had many great reviews! The day we received it we excitedly set everything up. We hooked the Projector up to the Play Station 3 and put in The Lorax (our kids are obsessed with this movie). Our jaws hit the floor when we saw the picture. We called the kids down to see the movie....their expressions were priceless! This projector is everything we wanted and more...AND within our budget!! Now every night is movie night!!

Elite Screens Sable Fixed Frame Projection Screen 114 Inch customer reviews :

This review is for the ER135WH1 model.

After watching the video and reading the instructions, it took about 45 minutes to assemble. Mounting is fairly easy as well.

I took the advice of someone else and laid down sheets first to avoid collecting dog hair and whatever else was on my carpet onto the frame. The frame comes in multiple pieces and mounts together very easily - it feels very solid and precise.

The screen itself feels like vinyl (think waterbed or kid's inflatable jumpy) and rolls over the frame as a single sheet. All four edges of the screen material have a channel that you slide plastic rods into. These rods and the screen are then pressed into grooves on the frame and clips are place into the edge of the frame to keep the rod from popping out of the groove. This process is a little nerve-racking at first since you have to pull pretty hard to stretch the screen into the grooves. After a few clips, you'll realize it is not that hard. I did what the video shows, which is to start with just a single clip on each side, then go back and add another round of clips at the approximate midpoints of the clips you already have. I just repeated this process until all the clips were used. In the end, you'll have a clip probably every 8-12 inches all the way around.

For mounting, you just screw in 2 or 3 (the 135" uses 3) brackets on the wall. The screen frame has a lip on it, so it literally takes two people a few seconds to lift the screen over the brackets, press against the wall, and lower until the screen frame is resting on the brackets. The docs say you can then slide left/right as needed, but my wall was ever-so-slightly warped, so it wasn't going to to budge once seated on the brackets. Nonetheless, it's easy to just lift up, slide left/right, then drop back down.

The only tricky part of the whole thing was the bottom mounting bracket. It comes with a bottom bracket that looks just like the top bracket, but good luck trying to mount that and then pull the bottom edge of the screen frame down enough for the frame to go over the bracket and then pop back up enough for the bracket to lock in the frame. The frame is SOLID. It doesn't bend, stretch, or change shape. Maybe I'm missing something obvious, but the instructions didn't give any clues. The bracket takes two screws. I ended up mounting it with just one screw so that the side with no screw would want to swing down naturally due to gravity. I mounted the frame on the top brackets, and then pushed the swinging part of the bottom bracket up. I was able to push the frame bottom against the wall and the bracket swung back down behind the screen and locked into the frame lip. Worked great. You could get away with no bottom bracket as well.

Oh, and the screen looks absolutely beautiful. I paired it with an Acer H6510BD projector and couldn't be happier. Just amazing all around.

My wife and I have been using projectors for the past 15 years over multiple projectors and screens. Some great, some not so much. After switching from a standard definition projector to a 1080p projector 10 years ago... We also switched screens in the process. Going from a Da-lite 120" to an ElitePowerGain 120". The difference in quality was quick to be noticed. The brightness doubling, due to the PowerGain material.

Our room is less than optimal for viewing, using any projector... due to excessive ambient light. The PowerGain screen evened the switch from our controlled, dark theater room to a light filled, living room. Allowing us to enjoy the same great quality picture from our Optoma HD33, no matter what room we viewed it in.

If ambient light is an issue in your room, even a little bit, I recommend the PowerGain screen from Elite. It took our unviewable experience and turned it into theater-like enjoyment. 2D is sharp and bright, while 3D jumps off the screen with exceptional brilliance and depth.

Save yourself the money, buying name brand screens and buy a new projector or sound system to deepen your home theater experience. You will not notice a difference between a $2000 screen and this one. Other than the hole in your pocket that was burned by corporate branding and over hyping by people with more money than sense.

This screen is awesome. I have sony VPL-HW30ES projector. I first projected it on the wall, and then onto the screen after its setup. The difference is huge in terms of colors, contrast, and brightness. It looks great on the wall. The price is unbeatable for its quality.

Update: I exchanged this screen for the bigger size one (135 inches). It looks awesome. The contractor who installed my screen also said it is really no difference compared to other far more expensive ones like Black Diamond. One thing I learned in setting up the home theater is screen size vs viewing distance. Using THX recommended distance is really the best if one wants to have more immersive viewing experience.

By Bill

I've had a couple of projectors over the years, but never one that was really meant for home theater use. A few years ago, I switched to a large (55") LCD TV, because my native 1024x768 projector wasn't cutting it when it came to video games (contrast wasn't so good and the overall image quality was degraded due to not having a native HD resolution). After a couple of years of using that TV, I decided to switch back to a projector, since the TV just didn't provide the same movie-watching experience that you get with a ludicrously large screen. There's also something about projection that just looks better when watching movies and provides that authentic movie theater feel.

Anyway, after ponying up and getting a more grown-up, native 1080p home theater projector, I was still just throwing the image against a matte white textured wall. While this actually works surprisingly well, this time I wanted to complete the package by finally installing an actual projection screen.

This isn't even a particularly high-end screen, but I am blown away by the result! The picture is sharper, colors are brighter and more vibrant, and contrast is improved. Plus, the frame looks really slick and gives the room a more grown-up feel. I really couldn't be happier with it. I should have done this a long time ago.

I wish I could say the same about the installation process, which was quite painful. It took roughly 3 hours for my wife and I to complete the installation from start to finish. The first snag we encountered was that the pre-drilled holes for attaching the frame segments to the joints did not quite line up. They were about a millimeter off. It took a lot of force to get them lined up enough to thread the screws in. I could tell that a couple of the screws were not threading properly, but it was either that or send the whole thing back. I guess it doesn't matter much, because I don't intend to ever take this thing apart again, but this was still a disconcerting first impression of the build quality.

Also, the screen has to be stretched to an alarming degree in order to fit the frame. The plastic clips that are used to hold the screen in place are very difficult to snap in. The instructions tell you to remove and re-clip certain areas a couple of times during the process of properly aligning the screen. And here I thought they were hard to snap in. They are near impossible to get back off again! By the time we were done, my hands were very worn out, to say the least. I'm surprised I don't have blisters on my thumbs.

Even with the difficulty of getting it installed, I am still very happy with the result and do not regret the purchase.

  Elite Screens Customer reviews :

I was putting together a nice home theater area in the basement for the family. I did a lot of researching on what screens to buy. I am no expert by any means when it comes to home theater components but this Elite screen really impressed me.

It was easy to put together. It took maybe 45 minutes and everything snapped into place with ease. I thought stretching the screen might become a little of a chore but it was simple and straight forward. The frame (covered in black velvet) screwed together with the enclosed allen wrench. Mounting on the wall was a breeze. Attached the brackets to studs in the wall, level of course and the screen sits right on the brackets. We were watching movies by that evening.

The picture was excellent using our Optoma HD20. The screen has a gain of 1.1 and gaming and Blu Ray movies were sharp and bright on this white matte screen. I realize the projector is an important part but the screen also adds to the experience and this Elite screen combines great performance and ease of installation.

I am very happy with Elite Screens ER92WH1 Sable Fixed Frame Projection Screen. I did a fair amount of research on the Elite Screens sable vs EZ-Frame series. It turned out that the only difference was in the shape of the frame. The sable series cost a full $100 less than the 120" EZ-Frame. The screen material and mounting method was identical. The frame shipped quickly directly from Elite. Assembly took about 2 hours, and the instructions were clear.

The velvet edging was sprayed on to the aluminum frame, but it i well done, and doesn't come loose. It seems to do a good job at blocking light overspill.

Actually, there are other small differences in the Sable vs the EZ Screen. The EZ-screen is available in white, gray and acoustically transparent perforated fabric. The Sable is only available in white. The manual also indicates that the mounting brackets on the EZ-Frame are somewhat better. The Sable had a pair of metal clips that screwed to the wall, while the EZ-Frame had a total of 4, plus a bottom clip.

The Elite material gives a good and bright image with my Epson 8100 projector. It is bright and has god contrast as well as color neutrality. There is no hotspotting and it seems to handle low levels of ambient light well in my basement theater.

I own an Epson 8350 projector which I also purchased from Amazon. It's my first projector and to start off I projected onto an off white wall in a light controlled room. I thought the picture was more than adequate so I decided to hold off buying a screen. Now, after 9 months, I've decided I want to paint the theater room a darker color, so I bought this Elite Sable screen.

I'm very happy with this purchase for two main reasons. First, the screen does offer an image quality improvement over a painted wall. The picture is slightly brighter, a little clearer, and the colors are a little more accurate. None of these were dramatic improvements, but they were all noticeable and the combined result is a significantly better image.

The second reason, and really the biggest benefit for me, is the look of the screen in my theater room. Before, when the projector wasn't on, my room looked like someone had stolen my TV. Now, on or off, it's clearly a theater room. Also, a huge unexpected benefit is that it provides a frame for the picture that gives my eyes a defined viewing area. I never felt like anything was missing while I was projecting on the wall, but now that I have that black border I realize that my eyes prefer the defined viewing area.

This is a great looking screen when not in use, it really adds to a room. I assembled it by myself in a little over an hour, and it was not difficult. I followed the instructions and had a perfectly stretched canvas when done. It was also very easy to hang the screen from the wall.

I highly recommend this screen, either on its own, or in combination with an Epson 8350. I regret not getting the screen sooner.

By E. Persons

This screen exceeded my expectations in every way. The picture from my projector looks awesome, screen was easy to assemble, looks great and is very sturdy, and the packaging was perfect with all the parts very well protected. I thought I had to spend $800+ to get a good projector screen but that is not the case, I am completely pleased with the Elite Sable Frame.

By Jay

Another one of my budget home theater purchases was this Elite Screens 110" Sable Fixed Frame screen I bought on Amazon. I was first drawn to this screen due to the price, but most importantly, the availability of a 110" screen (Monoprice does not offer one, 106 was too small and 120 was way too big). Elite Screens offers some of the most affordable projection screens I found, which would usually trigger a red flag as I am typically a supporter of the "you get what you pay for" statement. However, that statement certainly does not apply this screen.

The screen frame itself is made of aluminum, which is lightweight yet very sturdy once assembled. Upon assembly, it did take some tweaking to get the corners perfectly square, but the mounting holes and screens allow for some variance to accomplish this. There were a couple spots where it appears the frame hit the corner of something as the velvet was marred, but it didn't bother me enough to send it back (nothing a little black marker couldn't take care of). Some have commented on having gray streaks in the screen material, but I did not notice any. Other than a few creases, which instantly vanished once the screen was properly tensioned, the screen itself was perfect.

Assembly took me about an hour as I really took my time to make everything perfect. Make sure you have plenty of floor space, the screen was much larger than I expected when laying flat on the floor. Also, make sure you keep the floor clean and clear of loose items, I'm sure a sharp edge would make a 'lasting impression' you wouldn't want on a screen you're going to be staring at for hours on end. If I did it over again, I would have worn gloves! Do yourself a favor and get a pair of mechanics gloves, something that will cushion your fingers, but still provide plenty of dexterity. There are countless 'tabs' that you will use to secure the screen material to the frame, some take some force to get in. My fingers were raw by the time I was done (my fault for being impatient and not working smart). I used the drywall anchors that came with the screen to mount the hangers (measured and spaced evenly across). A laser level and/or 4ft level really come in handy here, you really want to make sure the screen is level (especially for someone as OCD as I am). Once the hangers are mounted to the wall and the screen is hung, it feels very secure.

Another minor complaint I have is that the center support bar on the back of the screen sometimes vibrates against the wall at certain low frequencies. This likely has something to do with the placement of my subwoofer (directly below the screen), but it can be annoying. I plan to pull the screen down and adhere some kind of material to the bar to absorb and quite the transfer of vibration.

Performance is excellent, but feel that is mostly dependent on the projector (I am using an Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 5020UB) and lighting conditions of the room. I will say that it does need to be quite dark in order for the blacks to be truly black, but that's not the screens fault, that's mine for not being able to adequately control my lighting. In a perfectly dark room, the screen is flawless and the picture quality is impeccable.

The reason I only gave this 4½ stars is due to the minor blemishes in the velvet, minor tweaking it took to get the frame just right, and vibration of the support bar at certain frequencies. Overall, this screen is a phenomenal value and I would highly recommend it (or other in another size) to anyone who is looking for an attractive screen that performs well for a low cost.

By David Tepper

Elite Screens ER92WH1 is made of excellent quality and looks phenomenal when hanging on my wall. The picture is bright and crisp coming from my BenQ W1070. The assembly wasn't too difficult but did take me about an hour and a half to two hours to put together and hang. My only complaint, and maybe this is my fault, is that when hanging on the wall, the bottom left corner is out away from the wall about 1/2 inch. You cant tell, and it doesnt really affect anything but it is still present. Again, idk if it was my installation or if it came like that. Overall a wonderful screen and a price that you cant find anywhere else!

This saves you significant maintenance dollars and labor over the projector’s lifespan, and lowers your total cost of ownership (TCO).

ViewSonic Projector PJD5134 customer reviews :

I love my new projector it has been more than I could have expected. The brightness is so good in lighted rooms and the clarity is better than my HDTV.

Like a lot of people, I was interested in buying a projector simply for a larger TV viewing and video game experience. If you look through a lot of these reviews and product discriptions like I did, you will probably be frustrated with all the different things to consider. I bought it just to get a little experience with projectors, and I am very satisfied.

Unless you plan on spending more than $650, just go ahead and buy this projector. Great Picture quality and very easy to use. I have just white drywall in my appartment and the picture this projector produces on the wall is exceptional. There are really only 2 cons for me. The speaker is junk, but every projector has bad speakers. My advice is to go ahead and spend no more than $30 on the speakers and bundle it in with the projector to save a little on shipping. The other con is that there is only 1 HDMI port. So switching in between cable and DVD/GameSystem means you have to manually switch which device is hooked up to the HDMI. Overall all I would recomend this to anybody looking for a bigger TV viewing experience.

By gjkim

I can't say enough good things about this projector. It is an amazing value and delivers a superb theater experience in my living room. Just a little background in my home theater experience... In college, one of my buddies had an old auditorium projector in his dorm room. We fashioned a screen out of a grid of computer paper on his wall so that he could still open his door haha. When we got an apartment together during our senior year, we made a screen out of a California King sheet. We stretched the sheet tight and made a border out of black duct tape. We enjoyed a year of movies and shows on our 155" screen.

Fast forward to now. I wanted to take my home theater experience to the next level and this projector was the perfect way to do it! Here's a brief outline of key features and my impression of them:

Resolution:
The three biggest features most people look for when talking about projectors are resolution, contrast ratio, and lumens. The resolution of this projector is SVGA 800x600. This is far from full HD, which is the majority of content I'll be viewing, but the picture is astounding! I'm a stickler when it comes to picture quality. I have a 42" 120hz 3D tv in my bedroom. I ALWAYS buy the blu ray version of new movies and I stream HD all the time on Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime. I care deeply about picture quality to say the least. That being said, this projector blows me away in picture quality. I watched Star Wars on blu ray last week on my tv and watched it again this weekend on the projector for comparison. Although the picture was slightly better on the tv, nothing compares to watching Star Wars on a big screen. The picture was very sharp. Absolutely amazing.

Contrast Ratio:
15,000:1 contrast ratio. What can I say, the shadows were very dark and the highlights were very bright. I don't have a proper home theatre with dark walls and such so there was a lot of reflected light but I was blown away again with the high contrast image.

Lumens:
It is important to know the lighting conditions in your theater when choosing a projector. Rooms with higher ambient light will need a higher lumen projector to overpower the ambient. With the shades drawn, I have no problem watching movies with this projector during the daytime. Of course, wait until night with complete darkness and the screen is incredibly bright and vivid. This projector beyond bright enough for my conditions.

Inputs/Outputs:
Okay so now onto the fine details. The Viewsonic has multiple inputs for a wide variety of devices. I run an HDMI cable from my bedroom to the living room for my theater. The projector takes an HD signal and converts it to the proper resolution. I then use the 1/8" audio out to run to my sound system.

Placement/orientation:
This is the only gripe I have with this projector. I have a relatively long living room. My screen is 110" diagonal and is located at one of the far sides. I wanted to be able to mount the projector and the other far end, high on the wall for convenience. Unfortunately for me, the distance was too great to fit the picture on to my screen. The projected image was about 6" too big on all sides. I was upset but this was not the projector's fault; I had a limited mounting options (I live in an apartment so no ceiling mounts) and I had a fixed screen size. My issue with the projector came in when I tried to place the projector on a table towards the back of the room. The image beam from the projector comes out in four ways: Front ceiling, rear ceiling, front table, rear table. The "rear" refers tor rear projection. All of these settings have an angle pitch that is a little extreme. The keystone adjustment offers a little correction but not enough. I had to put little pieces of cardboard under the back feet of the projector to properly line up the image. So, more options for the angle of the lens elements would have been nice but this all is not a deal breaker by any means.

Bulb life:
Rated at up to 6,000 hours. I have no clue how long this will actually last me. I imagine during the first several weeks/months I will use the projector very frequently but then may ween off a bit in order to maintain the magic of the viewing experience each time I use it. One helpful tip is to use to projector as a treat or special event. Don't watch Judge Judy or American Idol on it or it will quickly lose that "wow" factor. Instead, use it for social gatherings, the season finale of The Walking Dead, the Super Bowl, gaming tournaments, etc.

Bottom line:
I use this projector for both video and gaming. It provides a stunning picture even for a videophile like me. If you are looking into setting up a home theater, take a serious look at this projector before considering spending much more money on an HD projector. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

UPDATE: I made a video review but wasn't happy with it so I didn't post it. Instead, I will answer any questions you have about the projector in the comment section. Since writing my initial review, I have used the 3D function pretty extensively. I use the Sainsonic DLP Link glasses. The experience is very enjoyable with a much more immersed feeling than my 3D tv. The 3D elements pop off the screen at you like in the theater.

Also, I've been watching the NCAA tournament with some buddies using the projector. My house has become "the spot" for watching the tournament. It truly does create an atmosphere that a tv cannot begin to touch. We've been able to have the lights on and eat pizza and wings and drink some brews while watching Syracuse dominate ;) I'll see how well they do in the Final Four this Saturday on a glorious 110" screen with all my buddies. I'm telling you... get this projector and see how much of an impact it has on your entertainment experience!!
